If you are talking about the vertical support - don't - you hood will shake and won't close right. If I was wrong about which one - sorry that my head is up my butt!

my computer is seriously on its last leg, so im on my girlfriends, i will try to get some more pictures up tonight. but to answer some questions, wait and see what i do to brace the bottom (however i really think that the 1/8th would really take it) yes i will be adding some shackle mounts and some led turn signals. ill get some pics up asap if the computer decides to work.

in the second plate from the end i plan on installing led turn signals, anyone know a good place to buy them i am thinking like the Twinkies style one. anyone know if i could wire this up without using a relay? are the led lights so low power it will be ok to just jump it off of the existing turn signal wiring?

looks great... not to beat a dead horse but you may want to double up the 1/8" for the winch. the older AP bumper was 3/16" mild steel and it warped on people so they changed to 3/16" cold rolled. IIRC

the winch plate in the end is going to end up being more like 1/4 inch, the reason it was not from the get go is the only 1/4 that i had on hand was heat treated and i would not be able to drill that see as how its a lot harder than my drill bit. in the end im a lot more worried about the entire bumper coming off the truck in one part or the frame being elongated or the frame cracking where it attaches.

another question, how do people feel about steel cable and a non roller fairlead? the roller ones stick out too far eat into approach add 15 or so pounds to the very front of the truck, and i don't want to go over to synthetic cable.

You wouldn't happen to have made plans for this bumper? I am planning on making one soon in shop class but I feel like I will be over my head, any kind of plans would help alot. Thanks!

Looks like you are going to need to add more lift or get an alignment.

haha, yeah the front end has already really dropped and its probably only at 1/2 of the final weight with the winch. it will be getting 5100's and eibach #620 springs set at the second notch. i already have these.
i know one of the bases is set up wrong i will fix this before install.

thank everyone for all the props, it is encouraging.

Hell, put the one that is set up wrong on the driver's side and fix the taco lean lol.

Nah that would be a bad idea.

creative thinking i like it. haha i have a tiny top plate spacer for the gangsta lean. i didn't get anything done today on the bumper, i know sorry.

On another note am i the only person that thinks that 400$ for a 4 inch set of offroad lights is out of the question and ridiculous? You can buy i winch for that. I think thats out of control maybe if i was night racing offroad.

4 hundo? dang, I could buy a nice bumper for about that price, instead of doing the cool thing and trying to figure out how to build one like your doing *nice bumper btw*. I wouldn't want to spend that much for a couple lights. maybe for like half a dozen or more...
