I have had my Entune Premium in my 2014 for a year and a half and all has been well until recently. Within the last week or so the nav screen has become messed up. With destination programed and rolling along the right side of the screen is not working properly. When on the freeway and expecting to see the next 3 freeway exits on the right side of the screen or when on a surface street and using the turn by turn map mode and expecting to see the next 3 turns on the right side of the screen all I see is a blank screen saying "calculating". The only change to the system was a pushed update about 2 weeks ago. Did Toyota screw up my navigation?

My update last week went ok on a 2015 Nav HU. Did you check sat antenna connection and that your SD card is seated in the slot well?

I reseated the SD card. Not sure I want to check the sat antenna as that would require removing the HU wouldn't it?

Yeah the antenna connects the back of the HU. HU removal is pretty simple just go slow so you don't crack or scuff the bezel. You'll need a socket extension also. There's a write up on removing the HU. I'm not sure it will help. You're issue is odd and it's really hard for the antenna to disconnect at the HU. I'd check the roof shark fin and/or the cable run to the HU. Maybe the nav unit crapped out. Either way the HU has to be removed to get back there.

I have a nav unit out of a 14 model, the one that was being sold like crazy here a year or 2 ago here. After that update 2 weeks ago or so, my unit has been screwing up. It started randomly rebooting while just listeningto the radio driving down the road. Done it 2 times in a 10 min drive the first time and the wind time it happened 4 times in my 30 min drive to work. I also noticed in between restarts, the general nav screen (just the map... not navigating) showed me way off the road and driving through rivers and stuff haha! It's been kinda irratating, I've been searching Google but havnt seen anyone recently with this same problem.

I've had success holding the on / off down for a reboot and then putting the sd card in. Still experimenting with stuff that fixed it last week.

Same problems for me, except the nav part. I don't use the nav enough to know if it's off.

Well.... knock on wood.... mine has been acting ok for the last couple of days. It has only done the random reboots those two times and hasn't done it since. I'll still keep my eyes open for a fix, cause I know it's just a matter of time before it happens again.

Mine is intermittent. Some days, it won't happen, some days it will happen frequently. My commute is 30-45 minutes each way. I think it's happened 3-4 times since the update.

I spoke with Toyota Customer Service today. They were aware of issues since the update push a few weeks ago. They had me confirm my software version on the HU and said I needed a firmware update. I am to go to my Toyota Dealer and have them do it. The rep said the recent update causes issues with any firmware that is not the latest.
