Since we had a lot of snow here in New York, the shop has been dead. So I decide to pull the truck in and do the mod since i have the LEDs and stuff.

Me and my co-worker get at it and do the first one. Plugged it back in and BAM...it works! So instead of doing it cautiously like we should, we just bang out the rest of them. Now that its done, I got and plug it in and the middle pod (speedo) back lit lights ( the ones on the outer orbit of the needle lights)
are not working. So i plug it in, touch each end of each led with a noid light and I'm getting power at one end of the led of the one in the left, nothing on either side of the top led, and the right led too had only power on one side.

Checked all other working leds and they are all reading power at both ends while lit.

Has anyone experienced this problem or has the schematics of the circuit board?

I even removed the three leds, checked it with the noid and same thing =>
only one said has power on left led, nothing at the top led and one at the right led.

I believe the leds may be in backwards. One side is positive and other side is negative. Not sure if they are in series or parallel, but one backwards may screw up others.

Start flipping them around and see.

You probably have some in backwards or bad solder joints. can you send me closeup pictures of the groups that are not working?

yeah, sounds like the LEDs are backwards. I did the same thing, I was like Jo Jo the Circus boy... all excited about getting rid of that horrid orange.

LEDs are diodes so they are directional. There should be some notch or something on the LED, match it to the same side with the little white dot on the board.
