For the record I am happy with the mirrors. Ive gotten used to them now and am happy to see things properly when towing my 21ft Hybrid. I never ordered tje signal lights/heaters since.my Taco did not come with those features to start with. I assume if you dont have signals on your stock mirrors then adding wiring to make them work onky seems logical in my mind. Tow on !!!

In fact the installation instructions state that for 2012+.

    Tow on indeed.

I am not the designer but I did go to a local dealership and was able to look at both a non-lighted and the lighted mirror trucks. Without pulling all the relays to see if they have the same part numbers, looked like to me that all the fuse boxes were the same. Still working on it.

So it looks like somebody clipped my drivers side mirror and it folded up towards my Drivers side window. First, I didn't realize they did that (Folded up) which is good but now I can't seem to lock it back into driving position. It just swings forward towards the front of the truck or back towards my window. Is there a trick to locking these back into position?

Note: I've sent Mach1man001 a PM as well but just thought I'd post here as well hoping for an answer.

Otherwise, I just completed a 12 night, 2500KM tour of Ontario with stops in Wassaga Beach/Collingwood(CraigLeith Prov Park) , Tobermory (Millers Family Camp), Point Farms Prov Park and Turkey Point Prov Park.

My Tom Tom had me doing a bit of Off Roading in Collingwood with some seriously major dirt road hill climbs, but I must say the Taco, 21Ft Hybrid Trailer and These Mirrors worked great. I had no issues moving to an inside Lane with these mirrors as the visibility was excellent and I could see the other vehicles around me no problem.

    Edit:>>
So after playing with the Passenger mirror, when I move it the mirror assembly/arm raises a bit then drops back into the next locking position. When I move it back to the regular postion it rises then drops back into position. That's not happening with my Drivers side mirror.

Here's a pic that shows the gap caused because the assembly is not dropping back into position. I'm sure it's minor and Mach1Man001 has responded with some ideas and is going to help. In the meantime I thought I'd post for other users should they encounter the same issue. Now to find the person that bumped my mirror <grrrrr>

Took my 27 ft travel trailer down to the beach last week. And I have to say these mirrors are the best thing I've ever bought for my truck. I like them so much that on the way home my wife finally told me to shut up about my stupid mirrors.

Wait ... are they supposed to fold up? From looking at mine I assumed they were only meant to fold in towards the back of the truck against the window (like your last pic). Makes me wonder if I should take the precaution of folding them back when parking in close quarters. To avoid someone doing that to mine. :notsure: Sorry man, hope there's an easy fix.

 I can hear my wife saying the same thing.

I'm having the same problem with my '13 TRD OR.
If the 14's are the same as the 13's, it won't be as simple as installing a relay or fuse somewhere.

While the wiring for the signal mirrors is present in the doors, if you trace the wire through the door and into the cab where it meets the harness, you'll notice that the wiring stops at the harness.
In other words, there's no continuation of the wiring on the opposite side of the harness where it should be routing somewhere to draw signal / power.

At least that's the problem on my truck.
    Hope that made sense.

Dunno, but I can tell you that mine fold forward.
In fact, if I fold them back (tuck them in), then I can't get them to "lock" back into the original position with out first folding them all the way forward, then back again to where they are supposed to be. I just assumed that was by design.

Wow really? Good to know. I just got a call from someone at a dealership and they are going to have a tech look into it as well. Thanks for the info.

Well to start off with, Mach1Man001 is replacing the mirror for me. Got to love folks that stand behind their products:)
Just waiting for it to arrive so I can go pick it up.

Here is a video of my Passenger Mirror which is working perfectly to give you an idea of how they should work.

How difficult is it to disassemble these mirrors? I would like to access the LED wires on the inside and mount some LED's on the MIRROR side so that upcoming traffic can see the turn signals also.

    Thanks!

The last few days it seemed that my passenger side mirror was shaking a lot worse than when I installed it. Meant to check it out but didn't get to it for a while - then it started to rattle. Finally pulled the cover and sure enough one nut was close to falling off and the other two were loose.
Nice and solid with it tightened down again.

I have no idea but I can forward your question on to the powers that be

Tight is good. If you find it comes loose again try putting a little Loctite on them
