    Howdy!,

Id like to start off by saying that I have had a few projects race cars but never chronicled them. This place seems like a good place for feed back so here I am. This will be my first truck build.

The idea is to build a very reliable camp rig that can essentially do cross country trips no problem with. Its that simple. Or is it? That is why Iv dubbed this Project 3D w/ respect to the Dudley Boys. Because this will be a hardcore build, In the most practical and efficient way possible! That and I'm currently on a WWE attitude era kick and man that shit was cool.

I have a 1995.5 Toyota Tacoma LX 3.4L V6 Manual. Picked it up in December with about 196k. Its my second first gen.
Got it at auction with a blown Head Gasket.
One Owner truck, was up in Fort Collins, Colorado so minimal on the rust.

I Thought I had taken a picture of the head gasket when we tore the motor down but unfortunately I didn't. I Believe it was cylinder five. Everything overall looked good other than the gasket itself so we shipped off the heads for a quick deck and cleaning and I went ham cleaning the block. Purchased new Gaskets from Toyota, New timing belt kit, Valve Cover Gaskets, spark plugs, and wire.IMG_3794.jpg

And yes my buddy Nick painted the block.

We also threw a brand new clutch while we where in there. Exedy pro kit. I feel like I may have made a mistake with that atm and maybe should have gone with a staged clutch for these Colorado trails but its all trial and error at this point. I have since sold off the topper and got a professional detail.

Fast foreward to last week. Iv since put roughly 4k on the truck. Runs great other than the p0031 code I'm getting intermittently so I have to change that sensor. Did an oil change and changed the rad and two hoses due to a leak. I also got the truck bed-lined! And yes you can eat out of that engine bay.

I also went back and quickly re-detialed the truck with our in-house extractor at work. Took the seats out.

Long week. How she sits now. I’ll post lift specs and organize this thread once I get a little sleep.

I like them too. Iv used it on some Hondas that iv had. We will see how it holds up. Its a direct oem replacement.

I have updated the suspension specs on the first post for those interested. Install went smoothly overall.

Went through my first tank on the lift. I went from 22mpgs to about 18. still getting used to revving it out more. I drive like an old man.
Took the mudflaps off, need to trim some of the inner fender liner where it rubs and I did buy Tundra Calipers, brakes, and rotors for the front that are ready for install. So far though I'm loving it. IMG_5380.jpg

Did Coney Flats this weekend up by Nederland, Co. It was a blast. About to do some maintenance. Oil change, I have the Tundra big brake ready for install, and some little things here and there.

I do have the OME D6XL extra leaf installed and I have some good amount of rake. Maybe 2inches? I won’t be putting any kind of real weight in the rear for a while. So I’m on the fence on whether or not to take it out for the time being.
