    These lock, and keep the hood in place in case, for example, you are diving 70 on the freeway, with a 15 mph breeze in the air, and....pass a Semi truck.

    Ive always had respect for them off road, and my cousins have a couple that have done well for them. And with the new engine, its not as slow as the older ones. :)

    Seriously.....the only issue I have, is passing a large vehicle on the freeway, and the OEM hood latches make the hood flutter, and bang.

    Funny, I deleted part of my prior post. A few years ago I mentioned the want personally for a new Jeep Truck release and the idiots perched in the thread and the derp was deep.

    The new Comanche would be a nice option. I can not remember the name of the potential "Wrangler Truck" but, I am not sure I liked the look when I saw the pics.
    It won't be long before they hit the market with one.
    God knows the twits out there need something new say, "looks like a Colorado", about.

    If I didn't have my Ranger UTV I'd want one up here. I have a few friends with cabins who love them for being able to load up in town and travel all the way back into their cabins without transitioning to ATV/UTV at the trailhead.

    Yeah, the locking part, is due to a neighbor having his jeep hood opened, they cut the battery cable, and helped themselves to his shit inside the Jeep. As for the rubber bumper...things. The latches come with new rubber things, so its a simple R&R with these.

    There has been rumors about a truck coming down the pipe, but so have there been rumors of the wrangler going IFS. Me thinks its not going to happen. In the mean time, AEV sells the "Brute", wich is the same as what you are talking about. They take a Rubicon Unlimited, stretch it a little, and turn the back into a truck bed. Top Gear ran one, and they are pretty capable rigs.
