 That reminds me, I need to check the torque on mine ... I haven't done that since the CostCo monkeys installed the new Blizzaks. Life on the edge

I lost a front tire once, due to improperly torqued lugs. I was only going about 20 mph when it happened, but it was enough to cause a lot of damage, and hours of down time. SO......Ive since learned to just torque them to spec. Torque wrench is at the ready, so it doesn't add any time to the process.

I always torque mine to spec as well ... I just forgot I meant to check up on the CostCo guys ... Got lost in the holidays and kids flying out yada, yada, yada ... Tires were put on 2 days before Christmas.

Gotcha! Me and my Buddy had a conversation about those tire shops, and how most use Torque Sticks, which aren't as accurate as folks want to think they are. When I have new tires thrown on, I usually jack up the vehicle, back off the lugs until they start to get loose, then re torque to spec.

On a normal cycle I do the same ... I have two sets ... But my local tire guy is closed until 1 April. This was not a planned swap out.

It will be 2 years old at the end of March, I think....That's its build date. Took delivery in April.

Well that's very interesting. What led you to the purchase?

Ive seen many threads regarding the comparisons of the Tacoma, vs. the Wrangler, so I decided to throw myself at the purchase, in order to test, and evaluate the wrangler first hand, in the hopes of providing an unbiased view, for the benefit of the TW community.
