Not trying to be a grammar cop, but damn, some of the things people post are almost painful to read! One little mistake can completely change the intended meaning. And don't even get me started on predictive text and spell check!

So what have you seen on TW and elsewhere?

 

I'll start. Read this a couple days ago on here.

does anyone kno y toyota use 3 denso and 3 ngk i asked the guys at toyota parts and they dont kno either but its wats there suppose to use wen replacing plugs because i plan on putting better plugs in my tacoma and was just gona put all the same brand but if toyota does this with the stock truck then it must be for some brilliant reason does anybody know anything

Grab a metet and check your plug. If its a 7 pin you should have constant 12v+ on one. Ifnits any othef pin number you cant witjout tunnjng your own wire.

 

It bugs me when I see prolly instead or probably. I can't believe the numbers of people that use it or don't know. The lack of proofreading on ads and websites for companies makes me wonder. How can misspelled words exist when spellchecker is built into a word processor?

Two right off the top the top of my head are breaks and bumbers. It's BRAKES and BUMPERS. Proper grammar has gone the way of the dodo.

 

Maybe there should be grading Algorithms on grammar and the highest scores get better answers, with a star on the posting too.

My Mother was an English teacher, so ever since I can remember, we were ALWAYS corrected when using improper grammar or spelling.
There was one sign locally on a real estate development that used to drive me NUTS whenever I saw it.
It stated; "5, 10,15, and 20 Acre Tracks for sale."
It's TRACTS, not tracks.

I agree that some of the posts on here do read like Chinese Stereo Instructions, though.
"To bee makin sure that plugging is beautifully connected to be creating bestest sounds".

I feel your pain. My mother is a technical writer and editor, so i know all about proper grammar.
