    My sophomore (back in the dark ages) English teacher would have fits reading posts in every forum I read. For example, she would object to making plurals with an apostrophe (plural's), all kinds of spelling errors, using "their" in the object of a sentence when the subject is singular, and probably many other things I have forgotten about and do myself. I guess that as long as the idea is communicated, it doesn't make a lot of difference. However, if I were hiring someone, his grammar would make a difference.

    I gave up on trying to proofread on most of the threads I follow on here. I usually cringe through a few post everyday though. I think someone else mentioned it on here but when I see mistakes on posts made by professionals and companies (ads, articles, Facebook posts, etc.) it gets under my skin a lot worse. I used to run some company social media pages and the fact that I was being paid to make those post was incentive enough to make sure they were grammatically correct.
