I just got the P3 I ordered from Amazon along with the 3040-P wiring harness. The packaging for the harness shows "2003-2008", which seems like a model year range. So, I started looking around the interwebs. According to Tekonsha themselves, this model does not fit the 2017 Tacoma, but the 3017-P harness does. However, the Amazon Q&A for the 3040-P has conflicting information with some folks saying it will work on the 2016/17 Tacoma and others saying it will not. Since I know most of the people answering those questions are less than knowledgeable, I figured I'd ask the community here, who I trust to be a bit more helpful and accurate.

So, has anyone here used the 3040-P harness on a 2016 or 2017 Tacoma with the factory towing package?
