It may....I believe mine will die someday as well. But as for now she has 210,XXX miles on her and runs like a sewing machine. Never gave me any major problems.

Short bed here, it's all I need. Really it's a preference thing i guess. With the 5 foot there is a bed extender you could get, or i've seen guys make their own if they need more room.

x2 got the 5’ bed. i think i’m going to get a bed extender. mostly for when i but my dirt bike in the bed i don’t want to lose my ramp or anything. i did not “need” the 6’ bed we have a tundra and a 12’x7’ trailer. so if i need more room i have it. the time 6’ bed was harder to find and i kinda wanted the OR over the sport. I think about half the time are trailer is to big. but rather have it to big 80% of the time than to small 20%

OZ-T has a 6’ bed i think. he helps build homes or something and has a cab and has to haul allot of wood. i think their are some others with the LB(6’) that use it for work type stuff.

I have the DCLB , I use mine for work ( carpentry ) , I also like the idea of being able to sleep in the bed with my cap on

With a toolbox in the bed , the 5' box just wasn't going to cut it for me .

Nothing wrong with being a Jeep owner.

I've owned 3 of 'em. My mother-in-law currently owns our previously owned Grand Cherokee. It's 12 years old and it's costing her too much to keep it running (and we're always fixing it for her). She's on a limited income.

You'll be happy with a tacoma ....just get out there and test drive, research, and price shop.

    Good Luck!

You just need to figure out your priorities for your truck .

The DCLB Sport 4x4 best suited my needs and I am very happy with my choice .

If you plan on offroading a lot , and need a 6' box , you may be better off getting a DCLB SR5 4x4 and add lockers etc .

If you think you could get by with the 5' box and don't plan on modding your truck you might be best served with the DCSB Offroad 4x4 . I'm extremely certain somebody will chime in and try to convince you that you don't really need a 6' box .

Ultimately you need to get the truck that will best serve you .

I have a 11' 4 door short bed. I like it its a much nicer vehicle than my previous jeeps and it has far more uses. I do miss the jeep at times but thats probably because my buddies I wheel with have jeeps.
