I took the Prerunner offroad this weekend. I'm getting the 4x4 itch bad, but wont happen till Next Jan. Still gotta decide on replacing mine with a 05+ 4x4 or just buying a SAS 4Runner and keeping the Pre for DD.

I just made the switch to 4x4... And couldn't be happier! I haven't gotten to use it to its full potential yet...But very soon You should come wheeling with us the weekend after mod day!

 

Yeah I bet. I would love a 05+ 4x4, but a solid axle trail rig would be less expensive, more capable, I wouldnt worry about beating it up, and if it breaks im not out my DD.

I would like to go wheeling again, but my weekends are so booked up right now its insane.

anyone know who makes the headlamps for the tacomas? I have some black eagle eyes that I bought to replace the chrome stocks. Just wasnt sure if the stocks were eagle eyes too.

I have moisture build up in the passenger headlight and was gonna try to make the dealer cover it on warranty haha

 

I say just buy a SAS 4runner or older Taco. Obviously for all the reasons you stated below as well as it might even be easier to find parts for it cheaper. I know what you mean about the 4x4 itch though.

 

So my girlfriend wants to come and do her oil change if it's ok, I want to color match my bumper if I can get the paint. I will be bringing spinach dip and beer.

is anyone going any good with stereos and speakers and such? my kickers and/or head unit are acting up and ill need a hand with that. im terrible with electronics

I have an aftermarket HU I got from my gf's dad. But thefront speakers arent really working. maybe after I installed it, not sure

 

are you running an amp? either way you may just have the negative hooked to the positive and may need to switch the wire hook ups

 

MY HIDs came in from the group buy today. This will be my mod!

 

I think I have a factory amp under one of my rear seats. And yea thats a possibility. but I dont know my head from my ass when it comes to stereos

 

Hope I can save 3 grand in the next 2 weeks and buy AP Long Travel and that would be my mod..but will never happen...
