No one who has actually bought this kit has compared it to anything other than the stock suspension so don't worry. Everyone knows these aren't Kings or icons, or the stock third gen pro setup. Are they an improvement over my stock OR suspension is all I care about. It's all anyone cares about, outside of some pot stirrers.
This setup cost me less than $600. That's "what the hell" pricing.

Even if you don't rock crawl this is going to be waaaay better through potholes, at speed on washboard roads and it's going to have a tighter ride on-road with less dive and body roll.

Plus it levels the truck a bit and looks nicer. What are you having trouble understanding cappi?

Lol. So narrow minded. It's like you don't understand there's a difference between better suspension and an extra 2" of lift. No one buys Kings just to get the lift. The lift itself is only worth what a spacer lift costs. The reason I have Kings is because I spend a load of time on rough dirt roads at speed. If you really think 3" of lift and 285s makes a shit of a difference in that scenario and further that Kings didn't you are in denial.

And no point in discussing purchase justification. Available funds plays way too much into that.

The setup which we are discussing in this thread. The part number that is the thread title.

They are custom tuned 6112/5160 ...... if you think the stock hitachis are "just as good" you're delusional.

Could be difference in gas tank, other things weighing it down, etc. The 3rd gen coils are longer than the 2nd gens.

What you need to know about lifting a 2016 Tacoma - Presented by Toytec Lifts

"The 05-15 Tacoma on average, measures 20 inches in the front and 21.5 inches in the rear. The 16 Tacoma measures 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear.

So being that the control arm/shock/spindle configuration is nearly identical to the 05-15, this means that the front of the 3rd gen actually sits 1 inch higher in the shock travel range. We were able to confirm this by doing a hub-to-fender measurement at full droop (24.5 inches for both the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen) and doing a measurement while sitting on the ground (20 inches for the 2nd gen, 21 inches for the 3rd gen), we can see that the 2nd gen factory suspension compressed 4.5 inches to get to ride height and the 3rd gen compressed 3.5 inches to get to ride height. Full droop stayed the same. The 3rd gens just did not compress as much."

Chiming in from Canada: I called a couple dealerships today, and only one in my Province is even capable of selling TRD equipment.

They informed me that they don't even have a 2015 TRD-Pro suspension kit for sale, and have no idea about this sale happening, so they won't price match the kit. So it seams for the most part this is a US only event. They suggested I buy the kit from a US dealership and have it shipped.

I am driving a 2010 ACLB SR5, I believe this kit would be a great all around lift, but alas I think after shipping, the deal won't be so great.

Yup I called too! No idea what I was talking about, they were saying they only sell OEM parts. I told them I had an OEM 2015 PRO with a snapped front strut and a blown rear shock and needed OEM replacements. Nothing but crickets .....

I have a shipping address in Sumas, I sometimes will buy things on US sites and have it shipped there, then cross the border and pick it up/have it installed down there ... Bilstein is made in USA so the NAFTA duties don't apply ...

What's the lowest price on these so far?

$582 was the best price I found (Olath Toyota.) Several dealers around $620. My local dealer matched the $582 i found online. You are probably best off trying to get the closest dealer to match price to save on shipping.

That's who I used. Should be noted though that they aren't scheduled to ship for another week though.

BOOM! Wilder Toyota in Port Angeles just ordered me a set for $582 .... And it's a quick ferry ride across. Nice and easy, too bad about sales tax though! It's different down in the states, online you don't pay tax it seems when buying online from another state. Up here you pay the local tax based on where the destination is going to be.
