A/X or A/V? You said A/V on your first post. I've see photos of both springs A/T, and both A/V so far in the thread. The only A/X I saw had a 4Runner part #. I will keep scouring the thread.

EDIT : Saw your edit, so you've got A/X. I'll have to see if any other photos so an A/X with the correct part #.

If anyone purchased a full set and ended up going a different way, let me know. I’d be willing to pay shipping as well.

This shows the A/T on the driver's side perch, no passenger side shown.

This shows the A/T on the driver's side, no information on the passenger.

This shows an A/T on the passenger side, no info on the driver.

This has the A/V on the driver, A/T on the passenger.

    A/V Passenger, A/T Driver

    A/T Both

A/V and A/T, no information on which side was which.

    A/V on both.

A/T on driver's side, nothing on passenger.

A/X on driver's side, nothing on passenger.

So...can we assume all these springs are the same? Maybe the A/X, A/T, A/V, A/Z are just some sort of production code? It appears that Toyota interchanges them when they mount side to side.

    My head hurts.

Reading this makes me wonder if the Taco version of the kit the springs are the same but the shocks are set different for Taco Lean.

The perches are for the lean. The instructions say to place the upright that has the higher perch on the driver’s side.

What I am trying to figure out is why the springs have different codes. The only thing that makes sense is AC vs DC or AT vs MT.

What is the difference between the TRD springs and the springs that come with the Bilstein 6112?

    Both of mine say A/V.
I guess it doesn't mean anything.

I removed my sway bar last week in an attempt to get rid of the front end clunk I got since installing the suspension. With sway bar off there is definitely more body roll. Shocks do soak up bumps better though. Didn't off road with it off but i looked for all the pot holes and rough roads I could find...and it was smoother. You can tell the shocks are able to work independently and that you're using more of the shocks travel (my tires had never rubbed until sway bar was off and it was just once going up my rounded curb to the driveway). That being said, I put mine back on. I didn't like the body roll. I also got more feedback through the steering wheel, vibrations and a little wobble. I wouldn't say it was unsafe by any means; but having two small kids in car seats i didn't like all the extra motion....kinda have to hold on when turing it you'll slide out of your seat lol. But I think these coilovers are firm enough to ditch the sway bar if you want the extra articulation. I say just try it and see if you like it. Takes maybe 30 minutes, don't even have to lift truck off the ground.

You should see if you can extend the ends of the swaybar links to not be engaging already ( since its lifted ) and that will give you the ride still and have the sway bar on . I did this on a dodge dakota that i lifted . The end links need to be longer ....... oh and what about the clunk , did it go away without the swaybar ?.

That would be cool. Next time I go off road I would consider taking it off again.

Yes the sound was gone. Could have been sway bar links causing the noise or where the sway bar is attached to the frame with the U bracket. Since it only makes the sound occasionally and over bigger impacts, I decided to put it back on.

I just searched , hellwing and other brands make longer end links for the tacoma , some even adjustable , others like an inch longer . So you can buy them longer .....i googled and saw some people break theirs because how tight they are after a lift .

Thanks for the feedback. I drive a lot of highway miles with curves. I don't think I want more body roll. I think I will keep the stabilizer bar on.

I might try the longer end links. Great idea. Does the front end lift preload the front swaybar?
Does the longer links bring it back to normal ride characteristics?
