Which is better upper control arms?
    JBA or SPC?

I heard both good things about them and the price difference aren't much.

Did you get a 14” or 13” spring?

Has anyone thrown a 14x700 spring on these shocks to hold extra weight? I can’t find specs anywhere online to see if that’s too long or not...

I bought 14”. You’d have to be packing a lot of weight to need 700lb springs. My 650’s are pretty stiff even with the hybrid bumper and winch.

Yeah I think you’re right. I have an ARB bumper and sliders, but that’s it. I already have king 14” 700lb springs and I just put them on yesterday. I wanted to avoid buying another set of springs. Do these shocks have enough down travel for a 14? Have you had any issues?

The originals are 14", so there's no difference in down travel.

I've developed a pretty solid clunk up front. It wasn't present initially after installing, so imI going to go back through it and see if something is loose. I also thought maybe the sway bar could be causing it.

Could be that front body mount under radiator support, seems to be common and worth a check.

Yeah I'm gonna go over it tomorrow, I'll check that while I'm down there. Just so annoyed with it right now.

Yeah the nut on the sway bar link mount driver side was loose. All good now. I double double checked everything else while down there.

I'll recheck everything again in a week or so. Hopefully all is good.
The firmer ride is growing on me though.

Has anyone else started getting a "click" sound on large bumps or dips? It's been going on for a while now and I can't seem to figure it out. It only happens on the driver's side. I've tried torquing the LCA's, all shock bolts, UCA bolt, and replaced the body mounts with Energy polyurethane mounts. I even removed the sway bar entirely to get it out of the picture. Nothing seems to get rid of it. I'm now 90% sure it's the shock. Next I'm going to try swapping the driver and passenger shocks to see if it goes to the other side.

I'd say yeah I have something similar. It seems like every 2 weeks my truck goes from normal, to some new noise or clunk. I thought it may be the body mounts, but I have not really dug into it due to the weather. I also thought it may be the spring so switching sides would be a good way to test that.

the fronts shock/coilover, has taco lean built onto it. Switching will cause you to lean in a major way on drivers side.

I don't think they have other perches/grooves on theses pro's.

Each side has 2 grooves. I'm going move them to the appropriate location when I do the swap.

I'm not sure it's the spring either. I changed my springs to 650lb and it made the click sound both before and after the swap.

Ok, good to know. Did you check your brake pads? Some have had pads rattle. Retainer clip broke.

Figured it out. Turned out to be the UCA bolt. I loosened it and retorqued it and the sound went away. That click drove me crazy for months!
