I hate to admit it but nobody needs "expertise" in the internet age, but I will always shop at the places with the best warranty. I don't care if it costs me another $50 it's priceless to know if something breaks a couple years down the road it gets exchanged quickly without argument.

It sat lower in the rear without anything but the new pro suspension. I later changed it to a stance I preferred when I added weight, etc.. That is the first photo/first day of Pro Suspension mounted without canopy--just the kit on with '16 trd pro wheels and 265/70/16 Toyo AT2s.
I previously owned a '15 Pro with the same kit. When I placed a new one on my '16 OR, IMO seemed to sit slightly higher than 2nd gen Pro. I did not take measurements though for you number guys. I have no idea why--different wheel wheel design or placebo effect maybe...???
Really, I just used my own judgement making the same lateral suspension move from 2nd gen to 3rd gen as I really liked the plush ride and moderate lift.
Hope this helps with your decisions:)

Is this post a photo of your truck with JUST the TRD Pro suspension and no other add-on spacers / blocks / AAL, etc?

You say you had 265 tires in this post. 265/70 or 265/75? They look closer to a 70, but it might be because they look like highway tread to me compared to a knobbier tire.

It looks pretty level to me, if a smidge nose high. One of those Warn / SSO bumpers would probably level you out quite well.

Can you explain plush ride? How is it with this setup compared to stock? On road handing, cornering, nose dive, lean around corners, absorbing imperfections in the road? How about off road? Absorbing high speed bumps, small jumps, wash boards, and low speed handing like rock gardens, etc? Does this kit feel like it mates well to the 3rd gen like it did for your 2nd? Thanks for any input you can provide. It'll help with my purchasing decisions.

Yes that’s just the pro suspension without jack- no spacers, blocks, etc. just a virgin installed pro suspension with nothing else. Tires were 265/70/r16 pr, you’re right! I now have 265/70/r17 ko2 s c rated on pro 4 runner wheels. I wanted more off-set and a better off road tire. With the old set up it sat about approx 1”-1.5” lower in rear. The desert pro tune with added weight in your bed without either a block or added leafs will tilt down further & too easily imo.

FTR I’m no expert &as the saying goes: “One man’s bane is another’s bliss.” That being said, compared oem off road bilsteins, I really like how these handle. They are far superior. They are a magic carpet ride compared to orm. You’ll notice a significant weight difference too and solid beefiness comparatively when your Oems are pulled.
Going at high speeds there is a slight sway on say two lane sharp curves, but I got used to it, hardly ever hit the brakes, maybe downshift while accelerating holding at 65-70 mph just fine.
Just went desert running in eastern Oregon this past weekend. They handled confidently especially /wasboards,etc. They abdorb and soak up bumps and hit a small jump with ease. Again these will offer far less jolting than the oems. Depending on what/how you intend to use them I think most given the price will be shit-eating grin content. I truly have zero regrets. Modded them about 3 weeks after install with rear blocks to accomadate the weight of my shell and platform and recently with the 17s & more offset. I prefer a slightly higher rear to even it out esp when I put heavier gear in the bed. Good luck with your decision.

Dang.... based on what you are saying, it would appear that the truck could sit a little nose high with the kit.

I like a little rake myself. Bummer.

Let me know if you need a hand bud. I'm over in Lakewood and planned on a 1st notch 6112/5160 install after tax season but might just get these instead. Looking at the 1.5" AAL or light duty dakars with top overload removed too.

I’m calling bullshit on that, and that the 5160’s alone are giving any lift in the back.

    Agreed.

The 2G truck sits 1" lower than the 3G truck. The 2G truck gets 1.75" of lift from these.

So what exactly is needed in the rear to level a gen 3? Just New leafs? Probably a 1.5” from icon?

I wanted leafs, but didn’t want to void warranty with a new truck, so went with blocks.

    My prediction is

    About .75" lift front
    No lift rear
    Looks level after settling.

Whoever gets them installed first make sure you drive around a bit after install before taking measurements/pictures. All cars stand on their toes after coming off the jacks.
