Purchase advise

I'm wanting to purchase a SR5 4wd 6cyl Tacoma however I commute back & forth from Houston to Fort Worth weekly.
How well do you think this truck will do on the highway?
Any major concerns with tire wear?
I'm almost sure it will be ok on gas mileage but your input would be greatly appreciated.

The truck does pretty well on the highway. Tire wear shouldn't be a problem, especially if you run stock tires. And on here, people sell new stock tires all the time, so you shouldn't have a problem later to buy more. I'd say go for it, if you haven't already.

Oh yeah, and most prefer an automatic for commuting, but depends on what you prefer.
