    It's a never ending $100-$200 a week thing & still going.
“Hi Everyone, I successfully completed the pushstart/alarm install. It took me about an hour with zero wiring splicing, the Tacoma uses the same ignition plug as my Supra so I was able to use a Supra 93 to 96 turbo timer plug.
I will try to do a very simple write up with pictures and part numbers ina bit for those interested.”

Funny enough I have a Tacoma and a 97 Supra, and an extra turbo timer harness from years ago. Interested to see your write up and pictures if any.

This is how I did it on my 2015. My Tacoma doesnt have an immobilizer, not sure how the immobilizer works but it should be easy to bypass, probably by leaving the key on the key cylinder or removing the cylinder completely, I left my cylinder in, cut the key and left it inside on the ON position, I recommend if you have an immobilizer to figure out how to bypass that before doing this.

Step 1: Go check out Hookedontronics thread, it was a lot of help wit my install and it shows clearly how to take the dash apart and general alarm wiring location.

    Step 2: Parts used

    EASYGUARD EC003N-V
    [IMG]

The 6 wire plug from the easyguard goes to the ignition plug, but to avoid cutting the truck harness you need to buy the part below that will be cut and spliced.

    4103-rt007

This needs to be cut leaving the female plug (right big plug) with enough wiring to wire to the Easyguard unit, this is the plug that will connect to the ignition male plug.

Step 3: Disconnect Battery terminals, then find cylinder plug and Wire the plug like the image below, make sure is disconnected from both the truck and the alarm unit if youre soldering or using the connectors I used, using a lighter they melt the solder and hold the wires in place

The pink wire is for the horn, I disconnected mine, you can leave it connected and turn off the horn sound following the manual instructions, i believe you have to hold arming and panic button on the keyfob for 5 seconds at the same time. Same to turn on.

I didn't connect my parking lights but following the instructions you should be able to connect it easily.

I also didn't connect the door trigger wire yet since I couldn't find it.

Remote starts works if the car is armed, you have to be far enough so it doesnt disarm it, then hold the lock button for 5 seconds.

That plug on the cylinder is to stop the beeping since the key is still inside. You can leave key without cutting it, or remove cylinder, I prefer to have a copy and leave it cut inside with enough metal to turn it in case I have to, you can still remove the plug, reconnect the ignition plug to the cylinder and use the key as an emergency.

I recommend not cut the dash for the button install, just cut the small black button style plugs. or other area you decide to use.

To turn on the PKE disarm then hold arm for 5 seconds, same to turn off, thats so the car locks and unlocks if youre close. Place the 2 antennas wherever you want, the manual will show you more or less the options, place the alarm antenna near the front driver area.

The siren on the kit is optional but if you decide to use it then you can just plug it in to the pink and ground wire.

I left my original remote box connected, is not affecting this install, but I will probably try to remove it when I get a chance, I think is in the passenger glove box area and is a PITA to remove.

I think that's about it, If anyone needs help post here and I will do my best to help, it should be an easy install if you have some experience, btw I'm not responsible if you mess up anything while doing this upgrade, do at your own risk and good luck.

So cool to see other Supra owners on this board too! I think the 97 uses a different part number for the turbo timer but as long as the plug is the same you should be able to use it.

I can’t get the truck to crank. ACC and ON functionality works. I just can’t figure out to get it crank over. Do I need to bypass something?

Try holding the button for 3 seconds or more. Check all fuses. If the car cranked before the mod then it should crank after. Check all wires are making full contact.

OP, curious how the remote start function works on this. Is it two way? How's the range? Would love to incorporate push button start with remote start, but there's not too many options out there or information on how to do so. Also would have to figure out how to bypass the immobilizer. I know most remote start kits like the 12 Volt Solutions & Accessoride both solve the immobilizer issue so I'm wondering if this could be used on top of them.
