I hate this question but I gotta ask, what are you looking at for added weight, gearing (4.30 or regeared) and lastly, mpg ?

35 is where they chalk tested, so that's where I try to stay. Aired up to 45 or 50 for a long drive I've pulled 25 on the interstate at 60mph.

Bone stock rig, 6mt. If I'm hammering on it and driving like a knob my MPG's dropped compared to hammering on it stock. If I'm driving like an old man they went up significantly. My typical commutes with stock tires (majority portions uninterrupted at 60mph) I could eke out 20 on the drive, after the switch I could consistently pull 22 with speedo correction. On my current interstate commute I'll pull 19-20 combined over the course of a tank with stops in town at the grocery store on the weekend. I attribute this to going to a steeper drive ratio overall roughly equivalent to going to a 4.11 ratio on stock tires.

Well I'd call that a complete success. I know wide is what crushes MPG and let's face it, I'm not doing to the Miles but I'd also not like to get 14 mpg if I can help it

I really, really can't stress how much I like these tires. I honestly feel like they were the obvious missed spec that should have come stock on a truck branded off-road.

This is such a good looking size for Tacoma’s

    Maxxis MT-762’s in 255/85r16

I do get a slight rub on the corner of my front mud flaps when turning in to parking spots, but so minor it’ll either clearance itself eventually or go away when the tire wears a little. I’ve gotten a rub on the wheel well liner going up big curbs turning in to parking lots but it’s way better than some of the lowered sports cars and compacts I’ve had over the years with wide rims/tires.

    No issues in the rear.

I’ve only got 100 miles on these so far but my impressions are really good. They’re noisy but different than the studded snow tires they replaced... lower pitched, more of a howl (these are my first MT tires). The ride quality and handling at 38psi is great. I think they handle big road bumps better than p-rated tires with less bouncing. Dry pavement and wet pavement is fine. Slush is great. Ice and refrozen rutted garbage traction is ok. No fresh snow yet, hopefully no more till next winter.

265/75/16 tires only everything else stock.
Tires are going to continue to get more expensive as most rubber comes from countries in East Asia. Restrictions on imports/exports are already happening.

Do you both happen to have front/back shots showing poke (or lack thereof). Want to see where those tires sit in the wheel well.

    Great looking rigs guys, thanks!

No poke, they just fit like they’re supposed to be there.

Beautiful- have you ever had 265s on the same rim and if so do you like the 33s better? Also Do you have any lift?

thanks guys - “poke” isn’t what I was really looking for, just curious how those meats sit in the wheel wells. I don’t like the sucked in looked or heavy poke. Right at the fender line is perfect.

I found mine looks pretty good sitting still. Now any time I see a stock taco it looks like they downsized the tires a lot compared to a 33 skinny.
