It's nowhere close to the diff. IIRC the guys with clearance issues have long-beds.

2" OME Bilstein Lift Cooper ST MAXX 255 85R16 TRD Pro Grill OME Bedmat Weathertech Liners all around
I bought the Cooper ST MAXXs in 255/85R16 for my stock OR wheels and have been thrilled with the look and performance. They fit up perfectly with no rubbing with a 2" lift. I'm not really an off-roader, but they've always gotten me where I needed when out duck hunting and that can be some awfully soupy terrain. The only negative is they get louder more they get worn and only last around 45K miles. I'm down to 2/32nds and will most likely go the same route.

    Stock OR suspension.
Fit in Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX 255/85R16 on 4 ProComp 69 Series 16x8" with -12mm offset.

    IMG_20200906_165107.jpg

didn't take into consideration that the offset actually mades a difference and the 30mm difference between the OEM rim offset and the -12mm i have now caused me to start rubbing a lot more that anticipated. But i see why offsets are important.

    Ended up;
    • folding the pinch welds over
    • cutting the rear portion of the inner fender.
    • Softening the inner fenders with a heat gun and holding it in place while splashing water to force the plastic to its new mold location.

drove 5kms without the front mudflaps and a lot of dirt got flung onto the body in the front and wasn't too pleased about it.

Modified the OEM mudflaps by cutting a large portion of the middle / inner section of it so the tires wont rub. Also added a stainless steel bolt to the underside OEM mudflap mounting location. This holds/ pinches the rear half of the inner fender against the pinch weld/ cab itself and gives me a bit more room to play with. Outside of the mudflaps are still solid while the inner portion of it is a bit loose.

Anyone recommend any front mudflap designs (prefer DIY)?

Just starting out, give me time
Could you do me a huge favor the next time you have a tape measure and are by your truck. Would you be able to measure the actual height up to the top of xm antenna. I would like to know before I get some lift put on more than the coops. Parking ramps are a bitch for higher trucks

Looks great! I've been eyeing these tires for awhile now. How are you liking them so far?

Has anyone found mud guards they can run on stock wheels and suspension without rubbing in this size?

Alright I finally sucked it up and ordered my tires. The Toyota dealer up here got me the best price  install isn't until Oct 8th though. Hopefully the S/T Maxx will be alright in some northern MI Nov and Dec snow.

Nice. I have the same wheels and have been prepping for the same tires on stock OR suspension, actually.

I've already CMC'd, folded over the pinch welds, took the heat gun to the plastic and pushed it back as far as possible, and some slight trimming. Definitely confident that I'll be fine now

Good thing you already did the CMC. part of my rubber catches the CMC and has worn down the paint to bare metal, not ecstatic about that since I was hoping to avoid needing to do CMC.... but C'est la Vie, next project to do.

Other than that and not having access to a decent mud flap - I've not experienced any issues with the rims and tires (if you're wondering about the noise, it starts up around 75km/h but are quite up until then)

    Enjoy bud!

i waited about 4 weeks for my tires, Oct 8th from now is within a reasonable time frame.

Buddy of mine up in the North (Thunder bay area) swears up and down that these are fantastic in the snow as dailies, claims better than most winters he had before. I'm trying mine for the first time this year and i'm sure they'll hold up just as well.

Yeah I'm not too worried, but I'm very excited to get rid of my Kuhmo Crugens. That's great to hear that they're pretty great in the snow, luckily I'm working from home anyways so I won't *need* to drive anywhere.

Just like a mile or so. Depends on how you drive. Don't forget it's a bigger tire so you'll have to do some math to figure out what you're actual milage is.

Love it! Maybe lost 1mpg and its a little more sluggish, not like it was ever quick anyways. Only rubs a little on the flaps.
