Have you considered the Maxxis Bighorn?

Around $225 a piece. Another option to look at.

    https://www.maxxis.com/us/tire/bighorn-mt-762/

Or there’s always the Mastercraft CXT, more pricey though. This is an AT

they're the tire I've been waiting for for months now, they are currently not in production. I've messaged MasterCraft and keep getting "maybe in a couple of months"

I soooo wish Duratracs made a 255/85/16. Preferably still with the 3 peak snow designation, and C Load, but I'm obviously wishing for a miracle.

I got a set of BF Goodrich new KM3's and they ride way nicer than my 265 Ko2's. Also I was surprised, the KM3's are not much louder than the KO2.Very happy. Thanks for all the advice everyone.

how are you liking the 255s on stock suspension? Any complaints? I am looking at getting a set to throw on mine.

So far I love them. No rubbing and a little extra clearance. The KM3's have been great in the GA mud and are surprisingly quiet for MTs on roads. Really the only downside is I lost about 2mpg on average.

Is the 2 mpg adjusted for the greater tire circumference?

Actually no. I was just going off what is reported in the dash but I guess I should adjust and verify.

The stock wheel offset is an important aspect for this size tire to work on stock suspension, you might run into some rubbing issues with those aftermarket wheels.

I've been on them since last September so far so good, I wanted the Toyo MT's for my next set but these were what were available and I had a trip coming up. My previous tires on this truck were ST Maxx that died an early death from sidewall damage, these aren't any louder on the road and are awesome off pavement.

I've been a true believer in this size for a while now and have run (on a couple of trucks) the Dick Cepek Extreme Country, Mastercraft CXT, ST Maxx, and these Wildpeak MT's. So far TBH I liked the CXT's he best out of the bunch all around, but I would by these Falkins again. Can't say that about the Coopers.

Thank you for your reply with personal experience. I am leaning towards the Falken Wildpeak MT.

Makes sense. For a given psi the tire will deform such that a certain area contacts(f/a) and your force doesnt change. Whether your tire is wide or not will determine that. Maybe very low psi this may not hold

I believe what they say is true, however, a skinnier tire will be pushing less sand ahead of it and so will be easier to drive through the sand. Look at Ronny Dahl's YouTube site. He demonstrates this.
