@Sharpish i was thinking about the countersteers too. Every little bit will help with weight savings. Wonder what adjustments would need to be made with 16” rim 4.5 backspace and zero offset at no lift. Was gonna weight until after I lifted to get rims unless I can get by before that.

Anybody have only one side rubs not the other? My passenger side rubs the cab mount and my driver side clears by .5 in.

No rubbing so far, but I'm not quite stock either. What does your caster number look like?

2-ish to 3-ish. I'm going to have it re-aligned again.

Toyota has a fix for this but so far they aren't addressing the 2018's. You probably know this by now but I wanted to sub this thread anyway.

Why is it that some people are rubbing after lifting a truck with 255/85/16's???? If it fits stock, shouldn't it fit with lift?

Got a wheel alignment today, my left caster (tire does not rub) is 1.8*, my right caster was rubbing at 0.9* but is not rubbing now at 0.4*. I think my right cab mount is a solid half inch or more forward of my left cab mount.

I can't answer mud , noise. I've heard louder wear has Ben great I rotate every 5k me age went from 21.7 to 19.9 but I drive very hilly terrain with the 2.7 for the mud question if you can compare a serious area of milled up lumber and bark mixed with woodchips that are in 1 ft also water or more my truck does just fine were other contractors are scared to go thru at my yard at work I go right thru it , I've climes a few good rock ledges with it as well and does it well even when snow covered, I drive 100 miles a day 6 days a week is it the rite decision to have a mud terrain no but I like mud terrains. WhIle my wife wants me to get a wide wheel and tire combo like I had on my previous tacoma so maybe il switch to a 285 on a 16 x 10 this summer. I had a buddies 285s on and it fit no problem but was on a 17x8.5 hope this helps kinda went on a little there sorry

This week end I'm going to do a cab mount chop and roll the pinch weld over, that should end the rub.

The only thing to look out for here would be the different backspacing/offset of the TRD Pro wheels.

I need you to tell me about your experience using Ray 10s- I want those wheels. Do they still fit everywhere just fine?

Lifting changes the suspension geometry. Take a look at the cv angle on a lifted truck vs. a non-lifted truck and you'll see that the inside of the cv actually raises up with a lift- this pulls the tire towards the UCA, which is what you'll tend to rub on with a lift (I posted about this happening to me earlier in the thread). It's the reason most people get wheel spacers.

@NOLAMedic You are moving the frame and everything attached away from the ground right? It doesn't increase you overall clearance, but it does provide some additional protection (through distance) to the engine, fuel tank, etc.
