He put the original wheel weights back on? Not in the same locations, surely. I've never seen wheel weights reused personally. Honestly I wasn't aware they could be but then again I go to Discount Tire out here and when they unmount the old ones they are definitely not casual about even trying to keep them.

He didn't (couldn't) reuse the weights he took off, but they did go back in the same place.

I wonder what the dealership will say if I take it in to have the tires rotated and balanced? Will they notice how much weight is there?

I would tell them about it and the fact that it was that way with the stock tires as well.

Glad to hear! I don’t see many people out there with them but they seemed like the lightest M/T, E rated tire. I’m really excited for them to arrive and was able to get all 4 for $550! How bad was the hit on your mpgs?

Not sure if it’s still going on but 4wd.com had $100 off if you got 4 or more, and Dick Cepek had $100 rebate. Checkout was $599+tax $650 and when I get the rebate card it’ll essentially be $550.. didn’t buy a spare.. prob should have but I’ve spent too much money on mods lately lol

That is a great deal. I was real happy paying $600 for mine delivered to the door. Hard to judge the MPG hit because I installed a lift at the same time. Not a big lift, but a lift nonetheless. I also do a lot of (95%) short/around town driving in traffic so I wasn't getting good MPG to begin with. That being said, I am currently getting around 15.5 MPG. As you said, they are very light for an E-rated tire but they are still taller with more mass. I am fine with the MPG hit or I wouldn't have modified the truck.

I tried to find the equivalent 255/80/17 but couldn't find one on their site. I'll pay attention there. Thanks for the info.

I essentially got them for $125 each of you don’t count the tax. Figured if I was going to get tires, I’d do it when there’s a deal and I can sell my oem tires at 4,500 miles lol.

You will definitely need to reprogram it. Not sure if it is something the dealer could do or if there is an aftermarket solution.
