Initially I was on stock, with ome and 886s. Worked fine. Now I'm on aftermarkets but also not 255s anymore

A 265/75/16 looks great on stock suspension. 255 looks too skinny.

    255s are all true 33s and 265/75s aren't even 32s. Its about a 1.5" difference.

I don't see how 255's look too skinny.

I would pick these up if I could find them for the same price of the 265's that I'm looking at. The Wildpeak's. But seriously thought I'd these to get the extra height as well

For the 255s, is the general concensus having a +3 for caster when the vehicle is lifted about 2"? Planning on using the 16x7 steel wheel.

The sidewall of a 255/80 might be slightly taller than the one of a 265/75.

Not all 255s are the same. Although I did move to 285s. The 255 is probably the only tire anyone actually needs. Damn good tire choice. For those you want a little wider and taller nitto ridge graps 255/80r17 is a good choice.

They look skinny in pictures or when you're specifically looking at them to see if they're skinny, but just natural observations they don't really look that much skinnier than 265s. I mean, its like 1/2 an inch in reality.

I can confirm my 315s are visually wider, though.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Anyone running the Toyo MT 255/85r16 on stock OR wheels? I have seen them on ray10 and method wheels on here but not on the stock 16x7 wheels. Thinking seriously about them or waiting for the KM3 to come out in 255/85r16 January 2019.

I missed this post. There's no "might", 255/85s have 18mm more sidewall on either side of the wheel than 265/75s. (Note that this is the comparison you want to be doing so they're both on 16" wheels)

    255 * .85 = 216.75
    265 * .75 = 198.75

Again, 255/85/16s are all true 33 or larger, 265/75/16s are like 31.6 or something. That difference is in the sidewall since the wheel is the same size.

    It's like 32.8 vs 31.7 on average.

But some 255 are taller. Toyo M55 are like 33.3 and KM2 are 33.1

Which 255s are under 33? I thought nearly all of them have been covered in this thread

I read this entire thing. I haven't seen it mentioned, so I will ask - has anyone seen/heard of 255/85/16 fitting on the TRD sport model, using the OR or Sr5 rims?
