No issues. Cooper website says 8inch is max width you can fit. Discount Tire Direct mounted and balanced them for me before they shipped it to me. No issues on my side, when I put them on it drives nice and straight.

My 265/75 r16’s weigh the same as 255’s and I avg 17-20 lifted with armor. Psi at 35. I drive normal to aggressive at times depending on if I’m late lol. Prefer to have 255’s

Yessir, Cooper ST Maxx. Great looking tire for sure. Been raining all day and they are hooking really well, stock tires used to spin all the time when accelarating quick.

Thanks for all the info. I am installing cooper st maxxs tomorrow 255/85/16. Did you modify your exhaust? It looks different than mine (2017). I’ve been reading about fitting the spare at the stock location and some people’s feeling is that the heat from the exhaust pipe will wear on the spare over time. Personally, I dont see that happening since normal tires undergo a good amount of heat over their life from sun, hot asphalt, and rotational/kinetic energy, whereas the spare is shaded and would only get exhaust heat and not the other three variables I mentioned. Thoughts?

How’s the road noise with those and handling compared to the stock?

Very slightly louder then stock. I had Mud Terrains on my last truck and they used to SCREAM and these are very quiet. I only hear them going above 60mph. And handling is a little more "floaty" since the tire is so much taller.

After a good week with these I love everything about em right now. They look really good on an 8inch rim. Aggressive. Quiet. Get alot of compliments.

I have had no issue with the exhaust. I chopped it for clearance.

    Any recommendations?

This is my thought process, I just went with skids & sliders to up the protection after getting the bump from the tires. Winch will come when a bumper happens down the road.

Rustoleum matte black oil based. Clean the crap out of the surface with 99% isopropyl first. Tape care fully and use a 2” foam roller from HD

Oh, so it's paint on and not a spray....interesting. Did you do it with the wheels on the truck or off?

Definitely keeping this in mind, may not have the chance to get it done before it's too cold. Eventually I'll get them painted.

Is that what the computer is showing it are you calculating the mpg by hand?

You have to take into effect the larger diameter that will throw off the speedo & odo, and the mpg calculation.

I'm interested in going this route but I hate MT tires. The KOs are great and last a lot longer.

What's such a pita in these kinds of threads is the title is very specific about stock suspension and rims and probably a third of the posts are from people with modded suspension and or aftetmarket rims.

My guess is no and that's why he's not seeing any change.

Is that even possible or maybe with one of those higher model scan tools or whatever it is that allows you to tweak some of the parameters.
