So is there a consensus on the likelihood of the STMaxx rubbing in this size on stock wheels/suspension?

I'm going to buy tires in a month or two and would like some feedback.

Nah. I'm in the gray camp. Bronze is hot right now. But those grays will look great even as styles change

Def noticed a mild wander. Nothing crazy (5%?) but I will be less likely to steer with a knee for a few miles now while I upload pics to the forum in one hand, and drink coffee in the other :D More aggressive tread, E rated, stiffer, taller profile as a vehicle in general, and tiny bit narrower. Makes sense it would feel different tho. At slower speeds it actually feels more precise and nimble. Looking forward to the dirt

other than the slight wander described above. I'd say it feels sharp and predictable, seems to stay in and find gears better somehow. So strange how an inch or two can feel so much taller. Very happy. Whatever I gave up function I gained double in form. I'm keeping an eye on avg mpg now. Curious

They’ll fit. I had some issues and had to put my truck back on the stock suspension. Still have 255/85/16’s on it. Had to trim a couple small sections of plastic that aren’t noticeable, but thats it

Shitty pics, but here's what I have. Still need to deblue them. It was too cold for cleaning or beauty shots.

Those look great. Any issues with needing excessive weights when balancing?

Not that I know of but I just dropped it off at the shop for this. I'm not equipped to do my own tires yet lol. Were it me I'd go straight to dynabeads, simple one-shot balancing.

And not a hint of rub. Gonna do a sway bar delete next I think and see if we can induce some rubbing that way. If not, moar flex I guess.

I saw you mention somewhere that you had a bit of rubbing when first installed. Did you ever sort out where that was coming from? I've had 255/85/16's on 8" wide wheels before and thought it looked great compared to 7" width (no offense all of you OEM-wheel guys). I've settled on doing 265/75/16 because I'm not willing to cut into my truck. BUT if I can get away with this tire on a 16x8 with 0 offset without damaging the truck I may give it a go...

    Thanks!
