Bought a lock'er down safe for the center console. Works great for the times I can't carry something into a posted venue. My Dan Wesson CCO 1911 fits well inside and there is no way they are getting it open. :locked: Would highly recommend! And NO... that is not my combination.

Don't lose too much room either.

Oh... this is my new hunting rig.

Hope to have as many good times as my '97 Jeep hunting in this. Take care everyone and be safe!

is that CCO a full length model? for the record... i still haven't found a good concealed place for a full length 1911 in the cab.

Wondering how secure the top of that lock is. The face looks like a weakpoint

This is definitely on my list of future mods if I can get a CCW permit! Still need to take the class and go through the process, but I'm hoping I'll get one based on the type of work I do. Oh, and nice looking truck, OP!

I wish the center console in the taco were a little bigger so I could get this.

I need the space to keep crap in.:(

CCO is not full length. 4.25 barrel. Look into a Dan Wesson for a mass produced tool... will never go back to anything else!

If they bust it off they are still not getting in. Would need to bring a saw into your vehicle to get it open. ;)

Glock 29 in the console. Noveske 7.5 inch AR behind the seat. Boogers don't always appear when you are at home in close proximity to the gun safe.

Every measure has a counter-measure. What this buys you is a little extra time in a smash & grab; that's all. Given enough time you can break into anything. Most smash & grab thugs will bust your window and spend just a minute or two.

And covers your ass in a state that would love to bend you over for not securing a firearm while not on your person.

    Thats good.
I was thinking a prybar and hammer to the lock surround, then a cordless drill on that lock.

I just picked my TRD PRO exactly like yours Tuesday afternoon, waited a little over a month, but definitely worth it. Mine came with the Predator Pro steps, and a few other options Toyota threw in there, I had them add the trifold hard tonneau cover at the port. Sweet color, didn't care for super white, Barcelona Red is nice, but the Cement Grey is very unique. Congrats, and enjoy!!

Man I love my quicksand but this color is definitely up there. Wish it was offered when I bought mine. I'd have love to see them side by side. No regrets either way.
