I'm waiting on the 2016 and I have to sell my Tundra first. If this color is available it will likely be my choice. My Tundra is Slate Blue, wonderful color, but this color is so unusual it gets my vote.

Depending on the light available my truck has been called the following by others commenting on how much they liked the color.

    1. Metallic copper
    2. Metallic grey
    3. Brown
    4. Olive green
    5. Root beer brown

I wanted the "old guy tan" when I went to order it but I found out they had discontinued that color by that time. They had one little car in that "ugly Pyrite Mica" that they couldn't sell to anyone on the lot to show me what the color was before I ordered. Sales rep told me flat out that they had never sold a Tacoma in Pyrite Mica - I ordered a 2011 in late 2010 - and was surprised that anyone would want it after seeing it on that ugly little car.

Was kinda stoked to think that I was getting a truck in a color that no one had bought from that store hoping that I would be the only one in the area with that color. When I went to pick up the truck they had it in the showroom and sales rep told me that the color on a larger vehicle really showed how good it could look and that they had two more pyrite mica Tacoma's on order just from that day from people that were looking at my truck. It all depends on the light. You get like 5 colors in one.

The tan softopper looks sick on pyrite. Shit I wish I wouldn't have seen that.

I think it hides the dirt pretty well. I live on a dirt road so keeping it clean is a bit of a challenge, especially this time of year, but it always looks pretty good.

Great color for a getaway car... no two people describe it the same. ;)

I wanted the Charcoal Grey but after seeing the Pyrite Mica on the lot I had to have it. The big question? What color is it.

    I agree. Looks military issue.

Pyrite is an excellent color. My 2010 DCSB was Pyrite. Love that color!

Now, with the ARE topper and Yakima rack.

Initially I kinda regretted getting the Pyrite Mica (only because I love the Magnetic grey), but It has really grown on me and I have not seen any other in this color running around town. It seems like I see a metric ton of Silver Sky and Super White.

You have done an excellent job putting that truck together. The soft top. The wheels. The front bumper. All tie in perfectly. Great looking truck. As I posted earlier, it almost looks military issue or like a forest ranger truck. Perfect pic too in that setting.

    Bravo!

I saw one today in the flesh. I went to the dealer for an unrelated reason and a customer was shaking hands with the salesman. The salesman said it's the first Pyrite Mica they have had in 2 months and they can't keep them.

Your picture is about the truest representation I have seen so far. Love this color. I SO SO hope it's available in 2016.

Sometimes the color looks sorta dull and other times it just pops and looks like a flip flop paint job.

I love Pyrite Mica. I have had an '09 and now have a '14. I've had people call it grey-green-brown. It gets a lot of compliments.

And if I had to choose a second color, Spruce Mica is also a badass color.
