I don't mean to beat a dead horse here but I read contradicting post some say stay away from the "block" lifts and some say they are good, why do you think some say stay away from the block lifts? Like I said I have the same truck with the tow package with thr beefed up rear and I don't do major off roading but love the looks of one. BTW your truck looks great.

One of the reasons I went back to this particular dealer (which is 3 hours away) is that they have a working relationship with a 4x4 off-road custom shop that will set up your truck to your preference before purchase and pickup. This includes the 3" lift I had them install that now is under warranty with any Toyota dealership in the US. I actually use another dealership for any work needed on our trucks and have never had a problem even though it was installed somewhere else.

I know I read the same post and opinions myself and believe them when they state their opinion, but I have had different experiences. I had the pro comp 3" lift on the 2011 Tacoma and this time the 4x4 custom shop who works with the dealership installed the Revtech lift. Both of these lifts have not received favorable reviews from other posters on the forum but I put almost 70k on the 2011 with no problem and spend 75% of my mileage off road. Now I am not climbing rocks, speeding through the desert or going through mud up to my window. But I am bouncing through 3,000 acres of farm land loading a couple hundred lbs of fertilizer and chemicals on the truck a couple times per week and then taking my bride out to dinner in the same truck so it works for me in the environmental conditions I put it in...And that's what counts at the end of the day..

I have put a 1,000 miles on the truck this week and quite honestly love the long bed compared to the short bed. I'm not cutting down the short bed when I say this but it feels more like a truck with it's ride and how it handles. The only drawback I can think of is the turning radius lost compared to the short bed. I work in the world of F150-350's and Chevy 2500's because a lot people in my area farm and work cattle and pull trailers. I don't have the need to pull a gooseneck or other trailers but the extra foot has caught the attention of the folks who drive the larger trucks because it gives it more stature. And like I said it seems to ride better on and off road up to this point.

Dick Cepek DC-2, those are 18" wheels compared to the 17" Method Racing wheels I now have.

I was having second thoughts as I drove the fricken three hours to the dealership last week but in the end it was worth it...I purchased the truck through Daytona Toyota which is a world away from my little town of 2 red lights..;)

Love the color. Not too big a fan of the new 2012 front look. The best part about Pyrite's is they never seem to look dirty.
