I have both phones (one personal, one work). I tried using a slip charger from Amazon (this one: http://www.amazon.com/Sunmy-Wireles...1445553404&sr=8-5&keywords=qi+receiver+iphone).

The charging keeps cutting in and out, as if the phone was being plugged and unplugged to a normal charger. The Qi receiver company sent me a second one to try out. Same problems.

The yellow light on the Qi platform in the tacoma stays on the whole time, only the phone charging icon and notification cuts in and out.

Anyone able to successfully charge their iPhones with the Qi charger? If so, can you recommend a particular receiver that works well with your iPhone?

    Thanks in advance

Same thing on some Note 5s. On and off even at home. I took the Note back for an S6 and had no issues since with a Spigen case

. That said, some are claiming the Note 5 will charge consistently using the QI. I could not find a Note that would.

I think the larger batteries are having some issues getting all the current they need to charge consistently, Hence the charging/pausing/Charging/pausing behavior

Well, I'm not even putting the charger receiver inside my apple leather case. I'm just plugging it into the lightning jack and setting it directly on top of the QI charging station in the truck. That's about as clean of contact as it'll get.

Maybe I'll try ordering the Bezalel one you ordered.

Yep, it's probably your receiver coil then. They have a microchip that controls current so depending on the chip and application, it may/may not work.

Does the case provide adequate protection? I don't need huge otterbox or lifeproof style protection, but I'm a little worried the edges don't even go over the screen providing a small buffer between screen and ground if you drop it. Any comments? I'm considering ordering this one.

I may be the wrong person to ask. I went from the phone being totally naked to this. I figured the chance to charge it in the car was worth covering it up a bit. It probably doesn't provide great protection - it does fit snugly around the edge, and maybe some protection when you put it on a table face down, but I'm not sure how much it would provide if dropped.

So far, I like it, though.

Received the BEZALEL charger yesterday via Amazon. Drove the truck to work this morning, works perfectly. Thanks for the help!

I've heard the problem can be fixed by getting a Samsung phone :crapstorm: lol
