My s6 has trouble charging with the otter box case on. Take it out of the case and it charges perfectly.

I have a Lumia 1520 with a 6 inch screen inside a case. It fit with room to spare on the charging pad and worked without any issue.

Bringing this up instead of starting a new post. Will the pad work with a Galaxy S5?

It will if the phone has wireless charging. If the phone does not you have to buy a wireless charging battery cover for it

    Stock and loving it
It doesn't have to be the whole cover. It can be just the coil under the cover. The Samsung line has posts to plug the coil into

I have an S6 with the "Commuter" series otter box and it works just fine. But my qi was built into my phone. Can't say for sure about the S5.

Reviving this thread and question ... looks like the new iPhones have Qi but recommend 7.5 watt charging. Does anyone know the Toyota specs? Mine is a '16.

I guarantee its 5watts.. my s8+ takes forever to charge and constantly errors on overheat. Its more like an induction stovetop than charger...

I have the ottobox commuter style case and it works but often causes heat buildup so i take it off for long drives
