I had that as well but you can’t really consider that a production issue. That software was loaded into trucks at both plants. Doesn’t matter where your truck was made. Until Toyota released the revision all trucks previous to that, got that programming

i think its just hatred for mexicans that is strong in America.

Given both the Mexican built and Texas built ones have the same issues.

Do you think it makes a difference if a Mexican American work at the TX plant and makes Tacoma vs a Mexican person in a MX factory building a Taco?

    Or is the hatred equal?

The problem is most Americans don’t want to help themselves now a days. I got a lot of respect for Mexicans. They work hard, like a lot of Americans used to

the hatred towards them is the same the difference is this misconception that the Texas made ones are all being made by middle class white americans and not other immigrants as well.

I'm not saying the whole country is like this but there are certain states that are still extremely racist, and its not just in the US its here in Canada too.

But either way the same howling diff, low transmission fluid and whistling LCA is present on both Mexican and American made tacomas. So I highly doubt there is a difference in build quality. As with any vehicle now days they aren't even 'made' in one country they are merely assembled in that one country with parts from all over the globe.

The only reason I could see the Mexican ones having more issues by numbers of built Tacos with issues is because of where the larger number of tacomas are sold and which plant is supplying those tacos. Take canadian spec ones are all from Texas as it wouldn't be economically reasonable to ship a truck all the way to Canada from Mexico when you can ship them from the US. As I'd assume most of the California tacos are Mexico made.

that ship is long gone as almost everything is made in China now lol.
Your only chance at supporting an American family is that you buy it in America and whoever sold you it is a working American. But in terms of manufacturing you're supporting China the most then the rest of the world.

Most double cab trucks I believe I read come out of the Mexico plant. I’m not even sure the Mexico plant makes access cab trucks

The country seems so divided nowadays. It truly saddens me. But I also knew this was coming.
