So, I am really interested in getting a Tacoma and turning it into initially a long weekend warrior going anywhere and everywhere I want.

    Requirements:

    1. Sleeping platform for 2
    2. Capable of fitting a fridge that does not require moving in truck bed.

SO, the real question is . . . Is it possible to get a shell equivalent to an A.R.E. MX shell (Raised roof) and build a sleep platform high enough to fit an Engel or A.R.B. Fridge underneath and still have enough headroom on top.

    Pictures would be GREATLY appreciated!

Sorry, let me clarify . . . I want the fridge in the truck bed, under the platform. Not sure if they are too tall or not though.

Check out roof top tents. Sleep on top of the truck, and keep bed space :)

i know someone here built a sleeping platform, but there was no way a fridge was fitting under it. i've seen some tall toppers though that could easily fit a small fridge, platform, and you on top
