question about fender painting

I had a nice gouge in my fender on the rear oassenger side so i have two ideas to fix it
1. To just get a tube of paint match from an auto store
2. Bed line all four fenders
My reason for bedlining is I like its toughness for protecting them from other cars again and brush from trails. Also i like the black fendered look. I dont want to spend to much on the repair so these were my best options and i want the great advice from you guys on tw so post away all advice is welcome

If you want to bedliner the fenders just take them off and do it silver and black would look good

Eventually i want to do a whole strip of bedliner along the bottom of my truck and probably do the fenders while im at it

 

Yeah thats what im thinking also has anyone done this and have any tips or a write up
