Question about lift enhancers...

    Im putting 5100's on this week... If I wanted to add the OME 10mm lift enhancer what would it involve? Would there be any downside to this?

    If your talking about the trim packer it will not work on the 5100's. Only the OME n140s'

    The downside is that your Upper control arm might hit your coil. That is why I did not go with 5100s, I know they are great shocks, especially for the money. But they do not correct for the driver side lean.

    The trim packer and the lift enhancer are two different things.

    The trim packer is a 5mm spacer that sits on below the swing on the perch on the shock.
    The lift enhancers are a 10mm spacers that sit on top of the strut (like a 1/2" leveling kit).

    To add it I believe all you need to do is drop the top of the strut and slide it on with the longer studs and bolt it all back together. As far as downsides-Not really sure there are any. it is a spacer lift- but it's small and it's outside the coil pack...so it should be a big deal.

    I'm assuming you are getting OME coils with your 5100's?? Why not get the OME shocks that are built to go with the coils??
