I have a 05 double cab 4X4, I'm having a problem with the rear suspension. When I drive the truck at hwy speed and hit a bump it feels like my suspension is bottoming out. It's even worse when I have a ATV in the back. Any recommendations on what I should do short of putting air bags or a lift maybe heavier rear shocks. Thx for the help.

If you have stock springs(3 leaf) there is a TSB for harsh ride where they will swap them out for a 4 leaf set. The dealership will probably give you a hard time and may not do it, but you could look into it.

He is an 05 so i doubt he still has the warranty to cover that. If you do have the 3 leaf spring pack I would ditch it and look into a new after market leaf pack. Airbags would help for sure, especially with the ATV in the back. I would still look into a new leaf pack though.

What they all said, cheapest fix is an add a leaf system, but for an ATV and 7 year old springs it might be worth it to get a whole new leaf pack.

My neighbor was told by Les Schwab the Taco leafs only last 50k miles. He thought he was being told a line of BS until I told him it was essentially true.

Well heck, if they are only good for 50k I'm about 3 times over that. Thanks for all the help.
