I have a stock 06 Tacoma access cab trd. I'm looking at putting 265/75/R16 BFG Ko2 tires on the truck. I live in Alaska and the shops only have E load. Most places are saying do not get E load for the Tacoma. Saying its to heavy and also it will be terrible for snow and Ice. Any input would be great. Can't seem to find much about load sizes.

The tire is really new and in most sizes, only available in the E load range. Yes it is heavier and rides a bit rougher. But the difference on snow and ice between it and the softer-rubber C-load range tire would be negligible IMO. The lighter load range tire is still an LT-class tire.

I say go for the E-load range. I ran those tires for 5 nasty Minnesota winters and they worked great on the snow and ice. Just beware they aren't as good as studded tires, but they are still really good.

Ok thanks for the input. That's what I was thinking.
