I have an 08 prerunner. I have been reading more and more posts from folks highly recommending getting the TSB done. My question is I have already put a 3" lift on my truck that uses 2" blocks on the rear, will toyota still perform the TSB or will i ahve to take it all apart put it to stock then drive it up there? if they perform the TSB will my u-bolts be long enough for the added spring or will i need new ones? if so will that be something i will need to have sitting in the truck or will they have them? finally how do you go about getting them to do a TSB? i mean do you just walk in and say "hey i want this done" or do you need some paperwork or a bulletin number? Im just kind of cloudy on that one. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yeah thats what i was thinking of. just didnt really wan tot have to do that . would be pretty interesting trying to drive with the front lifted 3" and the rear setting stock. plus im sure they might raise an eyebrow or two. startin to think if they wont do it as it sits then not even botherin with it. i rarely ever haul stuff in the truck so im not dependant on havin a 4 pack.

So Oswego, you think its even worth the hour drive to the dealership to try or just say keep as is and dont take the chance of gettin frustrated with the service dept?

I just walked in with a printed copy of the TSB. They didn't even examine the truck before ordering the parts, which if your dealer is an hour away, you may want to check if they're in stock 1st.

I called the dealer and had the tsb printed for reference. On the phone it sounded like they might not replace the springs but once I took the truck in they ordered the springs and also the blower motor right away. This forum has been a great help! Should have the springs and blower installed in about a week.
