    Any idea if you get a HU with navigation whether you can keep the compass or any functions on that MID between gauges using the maestro? I hate the idea of a blank screen in the menu that I'm stuck with.

    According to iDatalink's site, it's retained if you use the Maestro RR with a connection type of iDatalink Serial Cable. They specifically identify "Secondary Vehicle Display" with "Navigation Info Display" as retained. That being said, I haven't seen this in action yet and have also refrained from replacing the headunit for fear of losing that feature.
