I just purchased a Kicker Hideaway and was about to order the metra DIY wiring harness, but I came across this on ebay while seaching for those parts (metra 70-1761 and 71-1761)

It looks like this is basically what I was planning on building myself but they took it one step further and added inline rca converter to the setup.

I just want to make sure this adapter will work with my truck:

The reason I ask is because within ebay it has a feature to check if the component is comaptible with your vehicle and it says it isn't but if it's made from the same metra parts I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Doesn't the kicker take speaker level inputs? If so should only need a straight wire connection from the harness, that adapter uses an inline converter, not sure if it's needed.

yeah it does, but got these for the speaker to connect to the modified adapter.

    Kicker wire to RCA

Really for the sake of convenience and if one hideaway isn't enough I would easily be able run another under the other seat with just a couple RCA Y connectors ... or if I decide to go with an amp and speakerbox with larger subs behind the rear seats.
