My stock wheels are the P245 16x7 Dunlops. I am looking at something slightly larger. A P265/70R16 tire with a 16x8 rim. I am not expecting much variance in my speedometer with such a small difference, correct?

Some people have also mentioned the shift point with my automatic would get messed up if I go with a larger diameter wheel. Any truth to this?

I feel safe going with a 265 wheel without it effecting my shift points and speedometer.

Since this is my first Toyota, are the dealers good at adjusting the ecu for larger wheels; or does Toyota frown at this?

    Thanks

Going from a 245/75R16 tireto a 265/70R16 will not make any difference at all. They are the same size tire overall (diameter) so your shift points will not be affected. Both are stock sized tires on various packages.
