Great looking products. Just wondering some things about the bed bars....

Are you able to mount 4 of them in a shortbed? My main thought is with security - to have the bars prevent large items from being taken out of the back (with a Pop-lock of course). Does anybody have pictures of 4 bars installed?

Eric, are you willing to join the bed bars together, as you did in this pic:

What is the approximate weight of one bed bar??

    Thanks for any info.

    Thanks for the questions.
I dont see any reason you couldnt do 4 bars in a short bed, they'd just be pretty close together but theres really nothing wrong with that.
Tying them together may be a possibility, shipping of course would get much higher than individual bars since we're now talking a large assembly, just keep that in mind. In the picture above, the owner actually bought the bars from us, then purchased the spreader tubes additionally and had them welded together locally. That could be one way to keep shipping down, but you would need someone locally to weld them together. If we were to do the 1-piece welded rack I'd probably change up the mounting to 1-piece rails that span down the whole bed rail rather than the separate plates. It would make it stronger for your uses, as well as more rigid and harder to get messed up in shipping.

Oh, and one of the cargo bars with mounts weighs in about 17lbs.

I'll just chime in. I did already order and install your bed bars. I had decided those additional crossbars would have been unnecessary. And you're right, shipping would be a pain.

I ordered 3 bars, and they provide total security for the 48 gallon action packer cargo bins. There's no way someone would be able to remove it from the bed (assuming a locked tailgate). 4 bars would have been too much.

Thanks for the order. Love them.

You won't be able to spread them out over the entire bed of the truck because the rails don't go all the way back, unless you weld them together into a frame (like the pic) and not bolt in the furthest pair back. That is of course if you want to cover the entire bed of the truck for security.
