I'm looking at the smoked sequential turn signals on Tacoma Lifestyle and have a couple of questions for those of you that have installed them (or similar):
    • How easy or difficult is it to break tabs when pulling off the cover off the mirror, and are they difficult to get back on?
    • I have the advanced tech package on my truck that has the panoramic view cameras, which means there is a camera in each mirror. Does that affect the installation of these turn signals at all?
I am always a bit leery of anything that says "easy 10 min installation", because it never is quite that easy for me lol. Thanks for the help :)

    1. I've pulled mine off multiple times. Twice for turns, once for the MESO puddle pods. Never broken a tab but be careful once it releases. If you don't have a good grip, you'll toss them.
    2. No issues, and won't add any complexity to your swap. I have the 360° camera and didn't mess with it at all.

Those covers really FEEL like they are going to break when they come off, but they are more durable than expected. If you follow the install video, you shouldn’t have any trouble. I used the ones from Amazon because they were significantly cheaper (on a budget over here after all….LOL) and they fit and work perfectly. I can get you link for them if you like, sir!

High Flying for me too. Very bright and work great.

Mirror covers go on and off fairly easy (although it feels/sounds like you're going to break something).

I did break the little clip that holds the turn signal wire when I was unplugging it on one side though. No big deal, it's not going anywhere. Take your time and you're golden.

    Lots of YT DIY videos:

Mine did literally take a 10min install; this is definitely one of the easier mods to do. The covers do feel fragile but they'll be fine

Also got the high flyers from Amazon, super happy with them! Keep on eye out cause sometimes they drop to around $35!

Same here…..very happy with Amazon signals.
Not a bad idea to look at DIY video first…….remember to breathe and slow down, and you won’t break a thing……

I bought the black lens (not the smoked) from Tacoma Lifestyle. They work fine but I wish I had bought the smoked lens. The black is too dim in daylight to hardly notice. They are much darker than they appear on their website.
I also wish they were in sync with the front sequential turn signals.

For all the High Flyers, did you go with the black or smoke?

+1 for Amazon High Flyers (smoked). The tabs on the outside of the mirror caps are fine, but I did break the middle tab on one side. I used loctite superglue for plastic and let it cure overnight. Good as new.

Advice that sounds like common sense: don’t twist it when pulling off.

Another vote for the Amazon specials! I just recently did mine and didn't feel like the tabs felt THAT easy to break. The main thing is to make sure you're pulling the covers the correct direction and not twisting.
