It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
@CaliRaisedLed I would live to have one of those, but I don't want to install it myself. Do you have partners that do that?

EDIT: Not to dis the RI lights, I looked at those too, and loved it, but the price tag...

I stopped in to see how much my local dealer could get the RI SR series light bar. I was quoted $800 for the light and a $100 per hour install with them estimating 3-4 hours.

However, I like the set up that the Cali Raised lights use and the idea of not having to cut the plastic. Not to mention the price tag is a bit easier to swallow.

So not being able to see the Cali Raised lights in person, I have two questions in regards to the Cali Raised vs. the RI's

1.Does the Cali Raised light bar have a glass front like the RI as opposed to plastic like some of the other brands? I am very concerned that in several years the plastic fronts will start to yellow.

    2. does Cali Raised use marine stainless steel as well like RI? I see light bars on trucks all the time that fade and/or rust.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello,

    1. we at Caliraised use A polycarbonate lens which RI uses the same exact one. They don't use glass, glass would break right away.

    2. Yes we use marine stainless steel, also we powder coat them so it prevents rust.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'd love to buy your kit. What does the switch look like and do you have a photo of an installed switch?

It's just a generic push button switch, because we sell things no just for Tacoma's, but we are testing a new harness with a Tacoma OEM switch and will be start to sell those after the 1st

I just got my new CaliRaisedLED light bar all wired up today. And I used something very similar to the new switch you're working on (I think)

And lights on (for reference, high beams are on) I'll get some night time pics tonight.

Thanks for the response and clarification. I think I will go ahead and order your lights once the holiday madness slows down.

Will you be posting more info on the switch that will be for sale after the 1st?

HAHA, WOW, that last photo is like daylight!! thanks for posting those!! I think I have decided on the Cali raised lights, I am now just questioning my ability to actually do the install. Currently rolling through the forums looking at other folks experiences with the install...My neighbor is willing to help out too...

I found it not to be that difficult. I had no help, and the mechanical part took me about 2 or 3 hours. The only difficult part was getting the final screw in the light bar itself. And it was just a "I'm too short" kind of thing. I had to reach around a support to reach it, and when I did my neck was too short to actually see to get it aligned. About 30 minutes wasted there. If I had had some help to hold/move/align the light, it would have been much easier.

The electrical part took me another 2-3 hours, but I also installed a switch mount in the dash, rewired my ditch lights, and modified the standard harness to use the push switch. I'm guessing that if I had the new harness, it would be much easier/faster.

    Highly recommend the light bar!

hahaha, that photo is awesome...so how was installing a switch into where you have the three switches placed next to each other...?

Thank you by the way for posting your experience with the install.

That was the easiest part of the process! I bought the panel referenced here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ecause-the-thing-i-wanted-didnt-exist.415922/ from Shapeways, and 4 screws and it was in, and the switches fit perfectly.

you get what you pay for, my SR rigid has been bomb proof, while the 42" cali raised bar got condensation in it within 24 hours of installation and keeps popping fuses

Where are your lights made? and what materials are used? I understand you are using a polycarb lens what about brackets and seals
(ie. grade of aluminum cast? and seal material) ?
