Raining this morning so washing the truck was out of the question. Decided to install my StreamLight flashlight in the new truck.

Tapped into a live wire behind the drivers-side kick panel that is switched on with the ignition.

Ran the wiring under the threshold plates and out the opening in the carpet where the rear seat hinges are located. Ground is made where the seat hinge bolts to the body.

Mounted the light so I can reach behind from the driver’s seat and grab it. I figure if someone is going to sit in the back seat, most likely they will sit behind the passenger.

Works fine with the seat folded in the up position.

Flashlight is a StreamLight Poly Stinger LED. I think paid around $85 or $90 for it. I got it at our local tactical law enforcement store but I have seen them in Bass Pro and Cabela’s catalogs. Nice thing about it is that I can purchase several charging stations/stands and mount them in each of the different cars and one on the house. Of course when I need the light it will most likely be securely mounted and charging in either the house or car that I’m NOT in.

    Am I a cop?

Nope, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.:)
