Don't know if this helps but here's my link:

In your case you don't need any type of Limited Slip additive since your "limited slip" is actually your brakes controlling the tire spin.

I was told 80w90 (3) bottles by the guys on the forum who have mechanical LSD.

    Also,
You first need to loosen the TOP bolt & then the BOTTOM bolt, in that order. God forbid that you do it the other way around & if the top bolt doesn't loosen then your stuck with an empty diff.

    BTW,
I sold my open diff to Paul. That's how I met him.

I have exactly 20,000 miles on my diff & zero issues. The dealership fluid is ridiculously priced! As a matter of fact, I'll be flushing mine after Citrus.

Any reason you went with one brand over another?

Valvoline was recommended to me by the forum members that use it & many techs that I have spoken to recommend Valvoline. Some recommed Castrol but most were Valvoline. Their reasons, for the most part, is a high tollerance to heat (diff assembly) & minimal sludge build up (in engines).

I'll see how mine looks when I do the drain/refill next month. I can tell you that with all 3 of my vehicles getting their oil changes at 5,000 mile intervals the oil always looks clean.
