How did removing the sway improve your on road ride?

Jimmy, I think the improvement is def way better off-road with articulation over terrain. On road...I would have prefered to keep mine, but since I have the ICONS and can adjust the valve compression rate...I barely notice a diff. It sways a little more on turns at speed, but nothing crazy. I was a disbeliever at first until I made the jump...:D Not sure how everyone else feels about it, but the consensus seems to be "sans"...

There is a street by my house where there are a bunch of manholes in the right lane. Probably 5 manholes in about 200 yards. The pavement is kinda raised up around them and when I would go over them it would be kinda rough. After removing the sway bar, it was noticeably more comfortable going over those. Have noticed that any imperfections in the rode are more comfortable with no sway bar, cuz now it's truly an independent front suspension, nothing tying it together. That's just my experience. But a few friends of mine with Tacomas have noticed the same thing. And because I have upgraded front suspension, Icon extended travel coil overs, the coils are way beefier than stock coils, so I'm not getting a ton of body roll or anything that makes me feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Fair enough, thanks for the reply. Makes sense the stiffer corners reduce body roll.

Did some prepping for some new shock mounts today.

While I was down there I noticed my abs lines on my axle a little melted. Stupid exhaust is pointed straight at it. Doh! I need to fix that soon. Maybe I should point it 90* straight down. And also re-route some pipe so I can add more Pelfreybilt skids. Blessing in disguise maybe.

After yesterday of cutting and grinding I still had a bunch more of that to do. But finally burnt these bad boys in there with the help of Nate. Speaking of burnt, I somehow managed to burn a huge hole in my shirt from all that cutting. There was fire and stomping of shirt. Glad there was no pics or videos of that.

It turned out great and am so happy to finally get these on. They were sitting in the garage for weeks. It was getting late so I decided to paint the mounts, frame and axle tomorrow. Just sprayed some corrosion block so it wouldn't start rusting. Thanks again to Nate for the pics and being a huge help and teaching me a trick or two. I'm always willing to learn.

Threw in a cab mount chop since "the unmentioned shop" did a fricken half ass job and I had access to a welder. Did my first welding job with the help of Nate of course.

Haha! I know I know. It looks like shit.

My rear is the around the same height as it was before any of this recent rear suspension modification. I installed a shackle flip with longer shackles and took out the overload leaves and apparently those cancelled each other out. I think I have 1 1/2" of rake.

Sick bro! Jealous of the shock relocation and the King 12" smoothies! Looks awesome!! I'll probably be ordering 12" smoothies and the shock relocation during this upcoming Spring time, along with 35" MT/R's
