Race Factory HID

well i bought some h10 hid for my fog lights the other day and when i installed it it looked fine. but i noticed when i parked infront of a wall the lights would be vibrating a little bit. i just want to find out if this was normal for fog lights to do this because i've had hid in my headlights for about 2 years now n they havent ever vibrated.

Vibrate or flicker?

 

it was more of a flicker.
well today i was driving then i noticed the right side fog light was off, so i turned off my light then turned it right back on; thats when the left side changed color from 3000k to 4300k i was surprised so i turned it off completly for about 4 hours went back outside to check on it again. now it wont turn on at all. i think the ballast might b messed up, oh wells that's what happens when you buy the 50 dollar hid system XD. at least i got the one year warrenty, hopefully they let me exchange it for the one hundred dollar system that i have in my headlights >_<

 

Where did you buy them from? Swap capsules and ballasts to narrow down the problem.

 

I think the same thing happened to 05prerunner, Pm him and ask him how did he fix it.

 

There's not much you can do. Check your grounds. If that doesn't work, faulty parts.

 

i bought them from this place in hawaii called race factory, they get mostly all their stuff from japan. i bought the more expensive hid from them about a year n a half a go, n it still works perfectly so yah 2mwr ima swap the ballast n bulbs to c if it still acts up, if it does then i will return it to them and have them check it out.

hey guys i called race factory and they told me that my kit was suppose to come with a relay kit, and i told them i didnt get it, so they told me that was the problem and for me to go and grab it from them on friday.

For some reason I don't think that's the cause of the problem.

 

same thing happened to my sisters GT mustang but it turned out to be ballasts, good luck with your fogs bro.

 

yea when you get lights flickering its normally a bad ballast or bulb about to go out

 

Race Factory gets ALL of their parts from China. I know the owner of the shop, and I'm 100% sure of this.

If you notice, he only tries to portray a "JDM/Japan" image. He never openly claims that he has any ties to Japan. Hell, the shop is called "Race Factory" and they do not compete in any form of competition, nor have they ever.

 

haha yah now that i looked at it,the hid was from china XP ima just go buy new fogs and heads from DDM tuning, they are pretty cheap which is a plus XD

Well it was the bulb, the right side just died on me so yah not the best parts XP

 

Do yourself a favor and and buy your HIDS from DDM Tuning
