Racing seats vs seats with air bags

At what point if any do deep bucket seats surpass the benefits of seats with air bags?

It keeps your body from sliding around the seat when taking a turn at a fast pace

 

Having grown up in Monterey and gone to many races there back in the 70's I'd say either 8a or the original turn 9 on the old track, and having done a track day there several years ago, not in my Tacoma, the lateral forces in 8a, which is the second half of the corkscrew where you've just dropped four stories and are accelerating as you are turning right, were or at least in my memory, seemed to be higher than those in turn 8. And back in the day in the late 1970's our cycling club (as in bicycles) got permission to ride the track every Thursday afternoon and coming through that corkscrew on a bicycle was way scarier than years later in the 911.
