Replacing the rack from a parts store
    02 tacoma
(I did this 4 years ago and now it was time)

Cant get the further line from drivers side to stop leaking
Is that a high pressure line?
both connections seemed to be in good condition
    Tiny o rings were included
I tried installing it with an o ring, and with out
    Still leaks

that o ring is much smaller then the hole

    any suggestions?

Did you say you change your rack every 4 years?

I purchased the truck 4 years ago
And replaced the rack with a parts store rack at that time

so this would be parts store rack #2 (lifetime waranty)

If the connection was not leaking with the rack you removed good possibility the internal threads got messed up in the reconditioning of the rack.

Unless perhaps you cross threaded things installing.Maybe got dirt on the threads it does not take much.

Use your life time warranty and try again.

4 years I guess you will get good at swapping racks

    Got it fixed i believe
Disconected the line, got rid of the “o” ring
And basicly polished the fitting tip slowly to make sure it was as smooth as possible
No leaks so far after cycling the steering with the wheels off
Will wait until tomorow run it again and check before installing everything else back up
